Belgrade, July 2010 Institute for Pedagogy and Andragogy and the Department for Pedagogy and Andragogy at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade in cooperation with European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) and national office of dvv international has published the Book “Adult Education: Response to Global Crisis - Strengths and Challenges of the Profession”.

The papers included in this Book reflect the spirit of European thoughts, reflections and controversies arising from both theoretical and empirical researches. The Book consists of 25 reviewed papers of the authors from 14 countries, that is: Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Sweden and Switzerland. The content of the Book has been determined by the need to assess the possibilities for contributions of the andragogical profession to the support in resolving the global crisis, to identify its strenghts and limitations, as well as to open up the perspectives that can make the potentials of this profession operational.
