Successfully completed project "Lifelong learning for socially excluded groups - Fit for the Job" |

Sarajevo, 19th of July 2010. Partner organisation RODA - Research and Organizational Development Association successfully finished the five-month training "Lifelong learning for socially excluded groups – Fit for the Job" in June 2010, with financial support of dvv international – Office in Sarajevo.
The participants were 28 unemployed persons, 18-35 years of age. The main project objective was to improve the skills and job opportunities of the participants, what would certainly contribute to their financial independence, self-confidence and a higher family income.
The training programme was conducted in the following areas:
- Information Technologies (ECDL - European Computer Driving Licence)
- Social and business skills (Xpert Personal Business Skills)
- English language (Cambridge ESOL Certificate)
At the beginning and at the end of the training motivation tests were conducted which should provide answers to the questions: whether there was an increase of motivation and did participants manage to adopt the necessary skills for active job-search. The evaluation showed positive results in both variables. The long term effect for the participants would be to find a job within the time period from one to three years after the training.The success of the participants and its sustainability will be measured by follow up activities, six months after the training.
The participants received the internationally recognised certificates on 16th of July 2010, after short speeches by Mrs Nataša Prodanović, Director of RODA, Mr Rizah Kabaši, Professor of Information Technologies at RODA and Mr Emir Avdagić, Director od dvv international – Office in Sarajevo.
